Volunteer for Peace
The UNESCO Hong Kong Association Glocal Peace Centre (GPC) has been fostering youth learning with the Centre’s internshipopen_in_new and volunteeropen_in_new programs for the past several years. We would like to take this opportunity to leverage the 8th Peacemakers’ Cultural Celebration (PCC) to offer a volunteering service opportunity to young people.
“Volunteer for Peace” is a volunteering programme for students to have a “quick turn” learn-and-volunteer experience. This is a unique opportunity for students to take part in a three-part course to learn positive peace, develop leadership skills and learn skillsets to flourish in the “new normal”. Students will immediately apply their learning in volunteering their services to support the 8th Peacemakers’ Cultural Celebration “Action for Peace” programmes.
